I would agree with others and if you want simple, don't get the SPOT Connect. The SPOT 2 is probably the easiest to use. The SPOT 3 probably is fine too, but its still pretty new and haven't seen any reviews on it yet.

I'm partial to the SPOT 1 for its awesome battery life, but the combination OK/Tracking button throws people off.
