Transforming my 690 Enduro into a comfortable back country touring bike

[/IMG]
I wanted to bring the KTM 690 Enduro closer to the smooth riding GSA1150.

I have made the following changes to date:
1. Extra large KTM hand protectors
2. KTM heated hand grips
3. Added 12V plug receptacle to the headlight housing to charge GPS/
iphone, use heat vest, or use with battery tender
4. Wolfman enduro tank bag
5. Wings exhaust
6. Pivot Pegz
7. Great Basin Giant Loop luggage
8. KTM skid plate
9. Rox Risers

I'm well on my way. Most important transformation so far? I've recently designed and built the prototype for an integrated, stainless steel fuel tank & rack system. Tweeking design as I write. The rack portion keeps the Giant Loop bag (or any gear) off of the body work and the exhaust system...keeping it from abrading. The supply line for the additional stainless steel tank flows into the existing tank as needed. Additionally, I integrated the Rotopak water carrying system into the rack as well.
I do a lot of desert and adventure riding so I've been looking for an integrated solution to include my Giant Loop Saddle Bag. My 'Gila' tank design will add 60% (120 miles) more range to my ride! I just returned with my 690 from the BMW rally in Salem, OR and it seemed like a lot of people were interested--either for themselves or their KTM friends.
