The Missouri Breaks

With summers being so busy, it's a real challenge to carve out a good chunk of time to make a longer ride, but Adam (ADV RezRoamer) and I managed to do just that. We've been planning on doing a Missouri Breaks exploration for a while now, and this was our chance.

Pack up and gear check

Took my big ol' 44 six shooter since we're heading for cowboy country.

We load up and head over the hill to Great Falls, and north to Fort Benton where we'll start our back country ride from.

Just looking down into that river valley gets your exploring blood pumping!

Unload in town, ready to ride

We headed south down past Square Butte

And into the wilds. The views are great everywhere.

Made it to Judith Landing and set camp

Ah, yeah.

Sleep was good and morning found us hungry (as usual). Adam had his traditional coal-toasted Pop Tarts (gave me one too, they're good )

I did my coffee and oatmeal on the SteverStove

Did some fishing and caught me a Walleye on a spinner lure. Yay!

Less than 30 minutes from river to my tummy

Adam caught him a little catfish and did the same thing

More to come.......
