Another odd response I got was some felt it better to instruct the rider to dismount off the right side of the bike. This alone could be a challenge for some newer riders.

If I get of my bike on the right side I then can't put my bike on it side stand or centre stand.

I would always stop and get off and then stand beside my bike and take off my glove and helmet so they can check if I my photo is right.

If I was on holiday in the USA I would just get off and then shout don't shoot I don't have a weapon or just lie on the ground and hope they don't shot me
