Heading up to Red Rock at the end of Day 2 one year, a guy on a smaller bike (who was coming back down Lovell Canyon towards the highway) flagged me down and said "You better turn around, you'll never get that thing over the hill!".
I told him maybe I'd get lucky and make it over on a KLR for the 7th time...

That was a few years ago, this time will make it my 13th LA-B-V. Only missed one because it fell on my 40th birthday, and I was miserable the whole time. Should have went that year too...
