I drove through Moab on my way to Montana in July. I was tired and fueling up, I decided to re organize some luggage and put it in the back of the truck. I drove off with out the wife's travel bag. It had her wallet and IPad in it. I got to I-70 before I Realized it. Turned around and called the gas station and some one had brought it inside complete with everything in it. Faith was restored in humanity that night. Moab dinner is a pretty special place as-well!
Funny you should mention Moab Diner. The truck that stopped and picked me up was the cook and his buddy heading into work at the Moab Diner.
I did have the SPOT with me in case something happened. I had some concerns though because I was in a deep valley most of the time and wasn't sure if the signal could reach a satellite if i had to use is. So I was extra careful not to do something dumb.
