Thanks for the tips.

I spent hours google maps and street-viewing two days ago.

I can see where it would be valuable to bring along some tablet with a good internet connection (via cell phone I guess) to keep referencing it for exploring. My street view and such on my phone, alone, is too small to really rely upon.
