Son Luke and I were out there on XR650s about 8 km from the end cheering the riders on (and helping a lost quad rider (gal from Columbia I think) find two way points she missed). To see David C clearly handing it to Cyril, on round one ahead by 200 yards (even tho he started 2 min behind) then on round 2 just in Cyril's shadow keeping the 2 min plus another 2 min advantage!

I had no idea they were so far behind on the over all, but a minute behind David and Cyril were about 8 South American riders together!

It was a blast out there with so much fog that the sand was almost solid!
