I got on this part to see if I could find any encouraging reading for my wife. I started he on my old 250 she rode around a bit with me on it so bought her a v-strom. She rode it around the yard and did well so on one of our evening rides this summer I suggested she take it, big mistake. She did a zero miles per hour tip over of a gravel road and broke her arm. I felt terrible. Long story short she is done with the strom. Might get her back on the 250 but the strom was too tall, too heavy and too soon. So take your time and master a bike that fits you then make your significant other lower your bigger bike and get a good fit. Enjoy your lesson's ride safe.
The happy days in our yard practicing starts stops and having fun. I wont post the sad day. The bike is for sale as we speak and my wife has most of her movement back in her arm. Be careful.
