We adhere to adgat but riding low speed in you own yard not so much. Gear would not have saved the arm it was a radial fracture from sticking it out to break her fall, force of habit we all try. Gear did save me just over a year ago when I struck a deer and went over the bars at 40-50.
It was my fault for moving her up to soon on a bike not fitted to her needs size. That was what I hoped to prevent others from trying/doing. It was only to be a short ride, you know the couple mile ones that people get killed on. Enjoy your new hobby and ride safe. SN
