I guess my question to you is: Why were you sitting so far left in your lane when you were preparing to turn right? Junior High Drivers' Ed classes teach a person to move to the right side of the lane for a right turn. Left side of lane for a left turn.
You left room for the guy to go by. I'd have done the same thing that rider did.
