So, ITSAGS found us a pretty sweet place
Lundy Canyon Campground
located here 38.034436 -119.206467
This seasonal campground is set among beautiful Aspen Groves lining the banks of Mill Creek. An on-site campground host provides fee collection services for the 36 first-come, first-served camping spaces that include restrooms, picnic benches, fire-rings, and bear boxes.
There is no water. Pit toilets. $12/night
It looks PERRRFECT. But after just calling, they are saying that due to the Federal government shutdown they have been taking a LOT of calls.
HOWEVER, As this is drastically different than a Plumas county event, still has too many unknowns about the crowd, I am changing the location back to Calaveras Big Trees State Park
. I don't want to, but I think that is best for everyone.
I will update the OP.
