Given the pressure on the engineers to make the bike lighter, I am not surprised about their decision. Its not the end of the world. Many 9x0 owners rode their bikes for years and didn't even hit the stand once and don't even know what a relocator plate is..., never mind breaking the case. Go riding.
I just found this site on working bolt strengths.. it seems the tiny 6mm isnt so weak after all..

So it takes 24550 newtons to break a 6mm bolt = 5519 pounds or 2503 kg hit.. given that website is correct..

any engineers want to confirm?
