I bought a set for the front and rear and I'm turning my 690 into an Adventure bike (Rally Raid Evo 2 kit and all the additional goodies...), and low and behold it says on the box NOT suitable for highway use... which a bit concerning considering I'm going to be loading it up with gear and hitting the trails.

I've read that you can get around the highway issue by using a ton of lube to help with the heat. Any thoughts? Any other recommendations?
I have been running ultra heavy tubes for 3 seasons, and over 60,000 kms in my 990 with no issues. I had one puncture on grey creek pass, and other than the obvious damage from the nail the tube looked fine. I always did a normal install, no talcum powder, no extra lube, just normal.

By the way, Dave at Ride Concepts has my shock done, so I at least get to put it back on the bike this weekend!
