Very timely subject ! We have been doing some extensive testing of just about all the lighting currently available, mainly for establishing a lighting spec for our new 950/990 Adventure fairing.
Certainly, the 50w gives you more 'bang', but we,ve always been a bit concerned about how many bikes would cope with 100w total, particularly if trying to run anything else as well. Be interested to here how you get on with them.
With the new 950/990 fairing, we have settled on 50w HID on the low beam using the same lamp we always have, but have decided to go with the powerful Squadron LED on the Hi beam. Wow, is that ever some light !!
We might look at this combo for the Lynx as well next year.
