Thanks for the feedback Kito. I wouldn't expect or count on the toolbox to be waterproof - I saw the claim as new, but I certainly am not going to rely on it being watertight (for long) - just like my panniers on my GSA..

I guess living in the relatively dry west US, the rusting will be easier to avoid. Funny I did have a bunch of tools rust on my trip to AK this summer on my GSA .
