Ok, here are some pics from the trip in Aug 2013
first we rode from Munich to an alpine cabin at the austrian/italian border, stay there overnight and crossing the border on unpaved road next morning.
first stop in val di resia / Italy
then riding a gravelroad along the slovenian/italian border called slovenian borderline road. was build in Worldwar I, a hundred years ago.
Istria a peninsula in Croatia welcomes the riders with dusty heat an small historic villages
then at least entering a small campground on the island Cres. a lot of hippielike people there having fun, driving children around with an old 2stroke MZ combination
next day is the offroad stage with our big bikes.
but after all, we get a huge gratification. a really big plate of meat, french fries, ajvar, onions and a lot of icecold beer.
meat is really cheap in croatia, instead of fish, we paid only 50$ for four.
unfortunytely this was a short trip and we had to leave. back we cross Istria from south to north on the smallest roads we find.
to a small city, called groznjan, entered in late 60ties by artists and hippies to rescue the historic city from destruction. now its a city with no cars, quiet and with nice views
on our last day we try the fishplate, it was very delicious and very.....expensive
hope you like it, bye bye from germany
