Yes it is high and no except briefly on the way to the Salar when we got some bad gas. Other than that we have had no issues. There is less power but better fuel economy at altitude.

We are going to Uruguay in November when we head back to Buenos Aires. We pan to ride there with our friends from BA who have family with a ranch there. Then head to the falls.
