Wade (GPSMAN) does a lot of winter miles and swears by a heated vest. Plug it in and youíre toasty as.

Iím too tight for that so have been known to shove a newspaper or magazine down my front (it was a good excuse to buy a grubby mag from the servo). Wind chill is a huge factor. When riding sports bikes it was amazing how effective even a small fairing was. I used to hate fueling up on a cold morning. Hugging a cold tank wasnít much fun and it seemed to take ages to warm up.
