edit: When you are getting ready to press the shaft/bearing assmebly back into the housing, you can use a hair dryer or simply set the housing out in the sun for a little bit, just enough to take the "chill" off of the aluminum.
Aluminum expands something like 6 or 7 times faster than steel, so this will help with the pressing operation.
