Too much fun!
Well, all I can say is that we have suffered from heat stroke and hypothermia multiple times within several hours time during our ride up highway 1 from San Francisco to the 101 up to Lincoln City, Oregon. I think that the sides of the tires are catching up to the center flat section. We have been surfing these roads and carving up the corners along the coast, mostly in a thick fog that has limited - yet enhanced - our view of the coast. We camped in the Redwoods one night and the next on the coast near Coos Bay in Oregon. Today we are at a beach house in Lincoln City for a couple of days thanks to a co-worker of sister Diane' (thanks Cindy!). What a sweet pad.
I am planning on re-treading the rear in Salem on the way to Bend to the in-laws. By the way, Diane, Kit, and Dee and here at the beach house with us. Nothing like vacationing with this family. So, today, we spent time on the beach crabbing! Kit brought his traps and we went after Dungeness. Sitting on the beach, soaking the traps, sipping a beer, smoking a cigar, and taking in some sun. What more could one ask for? We will be at the casino later squandering away some bling money...
