You need then to have the steel plate made, drilled and welded to the sub-frame. This was done by the KTM mechanic when doing a service as you need to disassemble the plastic fairings and disconnect the battery.
One more thing I forgot to mention: the plastic cover HAS to be modified to accommodate the box. I did it with a heat gun: no big deal. The tool box clears the rear tire in the same way than the exhaust.
