I've had mine from new. (1998 SR43B). Used it on and off road, fitted luggage, went to the TT - twice, fitted a Laser Pro-Duro exhaust, took it out to Cyprus for a few years, took the luggage off, Supermoto'd it, fitted a new clutch, progressive springs + K&N and jets, put the luggage back on, brought it home (200Kg airfreight - luggage and half a tank of fuel), scoured Ebay for bits (centre stand - crash bars - big screen - heated grips - handle bar muffs - new rear shock), went back to the TT, commuted 400 miles a weekend for a year (mostly motorways). In all that time it has only let me down once, Cyprus - 45 degrees in the shade - fuel starvation on the motorway. I put it down to the heat.
Watch the cam adjuster, watch the balance chain, change the oil EVERY 3000 miles and give her a name...................
