I was on crutches for a while after the deer slayer incident...that fucker bled out on the road, so I came out better than him! Overall, I was pretty lucky. I'll probably be wearing knee braces from now on while riding offroad though.

Insurance paid off a little bit of my bike loan, that helped pay medical bills and got me a few neat bits for the bike...I still haven't put on my relaced dirt wheels from Woodie's yet though.

I did all the work myself except painting the frame and recovering the seat- BTW-Renazco Racing did an excellent job!

Here's the frame to my $20K motorcycle in the back of my $300.00 car...

I shudder to think what it would cost to pay a shop to do a complete tear-down just to paint the took me something like 4 months of evenings and weekends! Of course I was in an arm sling for a month of that due to shoulder surgery. Total PITA, but at least I can ride now (very gently).
