It's been some time since purchasing my 650 Elefant. Original post & pics here. It's been an exercise in frustration...not in finding parts but just getting the people who have parts to actually ship them.

Here's the short repair list:
  • New timing belts
  • Oil Change
  • Rebuilt Carbs
  • Rebuilt Ohlins shock (with added remote reservoir from a 1984 Cagiva 125 MX and 1.5" more travel than stock )
  • Rebuilt Forks
  • Four new turn signals
  • K&N air filter
  • Fresh TKC 80s
  • Flushed and refilled brake & clutch fluids
  • and probably a dozen other things I'm forgetting
The wheels really need to be relaced which I won't do until I find suitable replacement rims with the proper bronze anodizing. One carb is still dumping fuel at light throttle (gurgling badly and 30 MPG). The rear brake switch is stuck on. The oil sender switch started oozing after about 100 miles. It's a few minor nits but she's very close to being done and ready to ride....okay...words, words, words...here are the pictures.
