With no markers Shiprock is still easy to find. You can see it from 30 or 40 miles away from almost any direction.

Wondered how close I could get to the base and immediately discovered a dual sport trail.

Getting closer.

Such a long ride had to take a break.

Closer.

Total distance 2 ½ miles to and 2 ½ miles back. Time 45 minutes but well worth it. It is an amazing rock.
