Have got gear on the bike down to bugger all , about 6 kilos per pannier , and the same 6 kg for bag on rack , with a couple of kg's in tankbag.

Thats for a multi-day trip.

Overnighters are just the panniers , no tankbag or bag on the rack (just a thermarest on the rack).
