Back at base. Malcolm on the left did the optional hard trail section led by Joe Forsyth. He said some crazy fool riding a Yamaha fell off when he was told not too and broke his collarbone. Luckily Joe had a Sat Phone as a helicopter - made by Kawasaki - was needed to get Mr Crash out of the boondocks.
Alister Gilmores special BMW with Husky front end and 43ltr tank to name just a couple of the mods. very trick!
Our final dinner together and prize giving. Watchout Tim.
A close up of Dodzo. We are all lucky he didn't get his tongue out! Its huge!! He says his wife has first dibs on it, what ever that means.
Some of the participants.
John Nicholson giving the wrapup speech. He was the main man behind this ride. Along with Robbie Cricket, Dave Britten and Greg Wylie who found the tracks and farmers land to use.
The staff at the hotel gave out their prizes for the cleanest and dirtiest rooms. The chap on the right was the dirty recipient for him and his roommate. According to the staff, the room looked like they had opened their bags and toosed everthing on the floor and dirty gear and dirty magazines were left laying everywhere.
Nothing like having your dirty laundry aired in public!
And this is Tim after we dobbed him in and his 4 Misdemeanours
were read aloud for all to hear.
Tim got a packet of Minties because he had a lot of moments!
And this basically ends the ride report.
A big thank you to everyone involved and if you were on this ride feel free to add photos and comments/stories/correct lies as you see fit.
