As I understand it, you only need to undo the security screws if you intend to remove the bad EWS and replace it with the new EWS. This is a permanent fix.
On the otherhand, for a temporary fix, you only need a Torx 10 wrench: keep the bad EWS in place, unplug the connector, and plug it into the new EWS, which you zip-tie near the ignitiion...
Is that correct?
