Notarex, I have been meaning to look you up ever since we met up at that bike auction in CT. I helped you shuttle your parts home. I bought the DR 650 up there, sold that (a perfectly good running motorcycle) in exchange for this basket case of a beast. I guess I like the tinkering more than the ride.

Eh-hem, back to the tech:
Yes, the swing arm is dual sided and has twin WP shocks. It has been lengthened three inches and recessed for the new tire position.
Jim left the driveshaft alone and lengthened the bell to accommodate the extra distance. This was done so that if for what ever reason the driveshaft broke or needed replacing it could be done so with factory parts.
The double sided swing arm is a very good choice for this type of conversion as it is strong, and there are many rear end gear choices and spares...
