But a good start for a tool kit is a T-handle thing, like the Motion Pro one:

Add a spark plug socket, a 1/4"-bit adapter & a few hex & screwdriver bits, a set of 5WR vise grips, a cut down ring spanner for the axles, 8,10,12mm ring/OE spanners & you're good to go. Then whenever you work on the bike just use what you have in the tool kit & add as required.
