Is the wiring sound & reliable? If it's sketchy you could rewire the whole bike without too much trouble.

Maybe just put on a very simple complete replacement dual sport harness like this one.

Then put in a racing style master switch like this feeding to an aux fusebox like this to power the main circuit and all the cooling fans, fuel pumps, GPS's, roadbooks, etc.

Probably need to do a starter relay and switch as well, here.

I don't know what diameter the headlight bezels are, but I'd look at some Hella Rally lights like these these.

Total cost (without HID) probably less than a few hundred. The bi-xenon Hella HIDs, as you might expect, are pricey..

Also happy to head down south and help out if you need a hand.
