So, how do the ITs compare to similar year YZs?

More specifically, I have a considerable amount of seat time on an '83 YZ490, but I've never seen an IT in person. How would a similar-year IT490 compare?

I assume power is mellowed in favor of low-end lugability, but how much?

I would also assume a milder state of tune would make for somewhat easier starting, compared to the YZs and relative to open-classers in general?

Is the IT suspension downgraded any from the YZ spec, or simply tuned differently?

I didn't realize ITs were equipped with a battery. Do they still have permament magnets in their flywheels, or do they require the battery to power field coils (like DTs)?
