I believe that combustion chamber leakage contamination of the oil is more of an issue than metal and clutch particulate contamination is. As chemical contamination is uninhibited by the filters, the only way to reduce the detrimental effects of premature oil viscosity and additive degradation is by more frequent oil changes.
But hey... that's just me
