Mexico BMW Rally Video

Bienvenidos to the land of the Mariachi and Tequila!

&ampampnbsp

&ampampnbsp

The Wednesday evening - Sunday morning event was held between the cites of Guadalajara and Puerto Vallarta, with a trip to Amatitan to check out the Herradura factory - where they make some fine tequila!

BMW Motorrad Guadalajara did an exceptional job! Gracias amigos!

The welcoming committee, with fresh aqua. I guessed it was agua after looking at this photo again.

Most eveybody I know went back for like, 8 or 9 bottles of water...

Amigos from Tejas...

The party scene at these rallys is hopping...

Downtown at the Governor's Palace:

The Cultural Institute Cabanas, featuring the frescos of Jose Clemente Orozco...

The Party Tent, mariachis, and dancers.

Guadalajara is the birthplace of the mariachi.

Just some of the 700 bikes that hit the city for the rally...

The Tequila Train from Guadalajara to Amatitan, just northwest of downtown Guadalajara give or take a shot of tequila or four...

I love railways, especially those in Mexico. You need to take El Chepe from Creel to Los Mochis sometime

Dr. Dre, I mean Dr. Dave...

Mariachis at the station, mariachis on the train, mariachis in Amatitan, mariachis in Guadalajara, mariachis on TV...music was everywhere

She made sure you always had the beverage of choice in hand...

A patch from the club in Chiapas...

Hank and Taylor way into the party vibe...

Whats not to smile about?

A very interesting tour on the method of manufacturing tequila. No, it is not from cactus

They explained what this instrument was called, but by this time we were already into the sampling, so I forget...

They stack them up...

Then they ride the conveyor into the horno, or oven:

They bake in their for like, well, for....like, well. I forget.

This stuff is cured agave - sweet and tasty. The sugar is distilled into tequila

Hard to see, but this donkey had two barrels of tequila strapped to it...

Everybody was issued this little tequila cup, as Ann demonstrates:

These was one of the Herradura Girls or a cheerleader from the local football (soccer) club. Not sure

Everybody smiling from ear to ear...

a

Some just modeling...

A money shot:

No sneaking in to tap the Herradura - there were plenty of free samples...

This patch seemed to sum it all up..."we're not in a hurry to get there"

Next up - leaving Guadalajara and the ride through the mountains to Puerto Vallarta with 700 motorcycles...
