Wonderful report and pics!
In the mid 80's I lived in Jo'burg, and one of my big regrets is that I didn't tour southern Africa more by motorcycle. I did some riding in town, and some dirt riding here and there, but I didn't really tour the country. I did spend a lot of time in Durban (
loved the Indian food!) and I camped in the Drakensberg mountains. Just beautiful. Your next South Africa adventure needs to be the Cape and the Karoo. And while in the Cape you can discover that South Africa doesn't just have good beer, but
magnificent wine as well!
Without doubt South Africa is perfect for motorcycles! Thanks again for the report!
