I agree it is a riveted chain. I also replace all my dirt bike chains with a riveted chain when the OEM chain wears out. However, the riveted link, and I use the Motion Pro tool, is still the weakest link and is the most likely point to fail. You can definitely replace any of the riveted links with a master link and clip on the DID chains. Not sure about the BMW chain. Perhaps I need to carry a chain tool with me as well, and those are heavy.
