I went to test drive one a few weeks ago and the really liked it. Plenty of power. I also rode the 650 and found it to be not that far behind power wise.
The sales man then started talking money and when I asked for the best price, he pointed at the sticker. He then proceeded to tell me if I was really serious about motorcycling, I'd be riding a GS.
I jumped up on my almost 30k trouble free mile KTM and rode home.
If I were you bud and really intent on not making more money, I'd buy a KLR or a used KTM 950
