How does the 250 do for short road jaunts, will it run at 45 or 50mph? I'm not looking for all out power, just a smaller bike I can run around in the woods with, low speed stuff.
I run a 14/45 gear,and because its a 6 speed,55-60mph is quite comfy.
I mean when i pop her in 6th and hit a nice mellow rpm maybe 2800-3000rpm,she doing about 55-56mph,per GPS.
The way its geared,i might see 75-80mph max out of her,i go 170lb.
In the tight woods where i ride here in the Northeast,i run in 3rd or 4th gear mostly, which is where i like to be to give me range thru the trails.
First thru thrid its faster then my DR650SE!
Being a 6 speed and only weigh'n a hair over 200lbs it'll do everything but highway without worry. But thats what ya got the XRL for.
The only DS bike i ever had better in the woods was a KDX220R,if that tells anything.
