IMO there really is no "compromise" tire choice. Tires and suspension are the most important parts of motorcycle setup. You cannot have your cake and eat it too. My philosophy is to set up bikes with a narrow focus. I have my F8 setup optimally for the dirt, and live with it on the tarmac. I have my 998 setup optimally for the tarmac, and I don't take it in the dirt.
