One inch of memory foam....great stuff!!

I had the seat on my 800 GS done by a guy that did my '08 KLR seat. He simply took off the existing cover...cut the foam down an inch and replaced it with memory foam...and then reapplied the seat cover.
He gave me the foam he cut out and it is hard as hell and is dome shaped.
I put it on my bike and sat on it today. You sit "into" the seat and it feels much better due to the fact that the seat is flat. I think this will stop me from moving forward and crushing my "aging" reproduction parts.
I will ride it tomorrow and let you know how I like it. I did not want to lower it or cut the front out due to the fact that I did not want to loose any leg room.
I have purchased a set of lowering pegs from Suburban to drop the pegs about 1.5 inches to give my right "gimpy" leg some extra room.
