November 14 Auction: http://m.bonhams.com/auctions/20147...acets=False&page_anchor=q2_2=Bmw&m2=2&b2=list
You haven't seen the condition then ..... :eek1 and that is pounds sterling. FWIW, I picked up a minter, with 30000 miles for less... that had new pistons, valves, guides, tubes, gearbox rebuilt, new loom, new rims... With that said it may have had a lot of work done since he was brought out of the garage... if it did then he may get the reserve on it.
It isn't worth the estimates but I think the owner is digging for gold... When things go to bid crazy things can happen... in both directions. Gerg
Ah, that changes things. I thought it was still in as-found condition. Still high, but not completely unrealistic, then again, from what I hear, prices for airhead GSs tend to be even higher in the UK than in the US.
Hammer fell at £4,500 meaning buyer paid £5,175 including the buyer premium!! Thanks to all here for your advice etc! :)
Look up, he already got his! Lol. He was however the most helpful person I have ever met on a forum! Thank you C.S. (or Canuck or Dana)
Cheers, Geo. Glad it sold and your dad got his money. Auctions may be the way to go by the looks of things! And yes, my garage is full of bikes at the moment so no spare space for even a little one. Well...maybe one little one...
Good to see little ones being put to use. They gotta earn their keep ! He looks like he is loving a bit of bike work. Is the back left a Beamer too? Nice bit of kit you got there. G/S looks very clean. Thanks again fella! Paul.
Its am 04 GSA... tank is off and a few other bits as it was due a good clean and moving some wiring around for a set of spots.
