He asked for our advice, but then blows it off when we get it. i was simply trying to put into prospective. this is just the internet, i can not make him do anything, he will do what he will do, but then he shouldn't ask what we think. which is exactly what he was doing in his first post.
Thanks for reading Dan. Yes I am just trying to find out if anyone else has used these Ina GS. My correspondence with the seller on eBay is not working out so I am probably going to return them. They were only 35 bucks shipped so I knew I was a taking a chance. Casejeep I was not blowing you off. Just got a chuckle out of your comment. The GS is not a beauty queen. So the consensus is nobody has put these on a GS but I could with some work. Thanks all!
Atta boy Johnny...screw the doubters I say. Once their all fitted up and lookin' good, please post a photo. If they work, I want the CF Phoneys...I think they look, well, like carbon fiber phoneys. The BMW guards aren't any stronger (but, they do fit well). Make 'em fit...screw the candy asses...since when did a little poor fit stop a GSer...hell, we're currently posting to several threads where bolts have been broken and threads have been stripped, brakes have been FUBARd and lights don't work....this thread is, well, its worth the try to get 'er done. illegitimae non carborundum
Sometimes half the fun is making them fit. For $35 and something you'll think you like, what the hell. Just so you go in eye's wide open.
Agree ... make them fit and look good and post results. If everyone followed the book and bought OEM we'd loose that whole adventure / farkling joy (and if they look good I'll be the first to buy another set )

there's a lot of good ratings there .. couple of fit issues but if you can make it work they sound like good bang for the buck.
Yeah, Chinese manufacturers are famous for that. They sell you a big qty at "special price - just for you, exclusive deal" and then a couple months later they are all of Ebay retail priced at not much more than your "special price" . Don't ask me how I know
