Sorry guys I think he was referring to me. I posted some light mount information. Just trying to be helpful. My bad. GB removed the offending post.

Although the original long range lights are really nice and still give more distance than any other sub 4 inch light, with a 24hr race coming up I wanted our team to have the absolute most light possible.

I threw a set of the new long Range Extreme lights on out test bike late last week before hitting the WBDR, all I can say is Holly smokes are these things powerhouses.
They only draw 25 watts each and put out more light than any other LED light I have ever seen. A smooth light pattern with no hot spots or drop offs and providing great field and unequalled distance. Over 2x farther than any other LED light.
At first I thought they would be way to big for the KTM, but I was pleasantly surprised by how well they fit.
I am running them with my high beams, using the amber covers during the day and no covers at night. To my surprise, I have yet to be flashed during the day.
    The best just got better.

I notice these lights have a built in PWM controller for thermal management, and I realize you sell your own dimmer/wiring harness, but I am rather partial to the Skene IQ-170A.

Are these lights compatible with an external PWM dimmer, or only compatible with your dimmer?

In particular I'm looking for more flexibility than on/50%/off.

    Thanks in advance.

I thought they had a rotary dimmer as well?

    According to the product page:

"Our dimmer allows you to adjust the low beam intensity from 40% to 100%
After setting the dimmer to your desired intensity use the Handle bar control to operate the lights in high/low or off positions
    ."

    Thanks for asking.
I do not think the skeene dimmer will work, To be honest I have not attempted, but other dimmers I have tried failed.
Our latest dimmer is adjustable from 40 to 100%

I have got so much use and comradery from ADV Rider, I felt the corporate name was inappropriate in many of my postings.

Same guy on this end, The buck at Cyclops stops with myself.
Thank you ADV members for making me a part of the community:clap

    +1 "off Road Lighter"

I like your thinking.... But no doubt some clown will hit you up with some 'conspiracy theory'...

The really clever name above kinda covers both bases.... If you get my drift...

So, if the 10 degree 10w light gave 1 lux at 600+ft, what do the 25w lights do? A night comparison photo would be great if you have it.

The testing was done with the 10, sorry I do not have Lux specs on the 20deg.

Well After talking with 900rider and admiring his fantastic work we have decided to try and offer these brackets to you ADV Riders.
They will be black anodized and retail for 179.95
The first run will be for 60MM tubes, KTM 950/990/and the smaller bikes 450/530 etc. and most likely fit many others, If the interest is there other sizes can also be made.
One catch is that we need to see what the interest is before making a run, We are looking for at least 10 riders who can commit to these beefy and beautiful pieces of art.

You should start that thread anyhow. Might draw in others that already have lights but want a different way to mount them ;)

The factory Baja lights just didn't cut it for this rider.
I think the Long Range Extremes look fantastic on the KTM, and work even better. No other LED even comes close to matching the performance of this single emitter 25 watt LED light.
When you need great lights, nothing else will compare.:ear
    25 watt SST 90 emitter driven at 90% efficiency:eek1

I have had several PMs about the Long Range Extreme lights, guys wanting specs, pricing, etc.
We do have stock and are sending sets out, Mostly to those that have done business with us in the past and trust us to deliver quality and performance.

We are currently working on a completely new website and really just don't want to mess with the current site any longer, something's must die and the current site is a prime example. What a waste in resources it has been.

Good news is that out of country buyers will be able to get real time shipping quotes and place online orders once the new site is up and running, It will also be far easier to see what Cyclops has to offer for all powersports.
