So you are saying that are no robbery's or murders in Mexico..the media made it all up? :huh
As far as comparing Mexico to US city's..nobody I know thinks US city's are safe.
I will agree that Baja is magic though. Just need a way back machine to make things better :thumb

There is a nice long discussion regarding Mexico safety in the Trip planning section: http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=546927 You guys can debate this over there until the burros come home if you want, this thread is about racing the Baja 1000 this Thursday.

I worry more about what taco stand to go to then if I'm going to get robbed. There are a lot of them here and the US government didn't tell me which ones are good. :D

Seems pretty quite in ensenada. I went to registration yesterday and was the only person there. Its early but still seems like the crowds are small this year.

Most go to "Paris", old school was Anthony's (the place with the Gorilla head on the roof). If you go to Anthony's be sure to do a "package check" before going up stairs with the "Girl"!!!! Jajajajajaja!

Working JCR/Honda pit #3 outside San Felipe.
Should be a great race what with Kaw, KTM and Honda battling it out.
I'll post my slide show when I get back, here's slide show from 2011 > http://www.photosbytink.com/Baja2011/

Good luck tomorrow to the competitors and support crews! Ride smart and stay safe everyone.

Is there a cheat sheet on any of the forums for following the race. Live streaming, tracking, etc.? When and were will the race be broadcast on tv?

With all the competition and factory efforts this year there seems to be very little activity on the forums. I don't get it, is public interest in B1K waning?

    Cheers,
    -Ciampa
