5 amp for two lights, ten for four! Remember, you are protecting the wiring, not the lights. Keep the fuse close to the accessory max to minimize wire damage in the event of a short. Jim

I would add to this: use a diode protected relay, something like the Narva 68032 to insure against circuit spikes that could upset or damage canbus systems... Everything else is the same, just a diode is added. viz
86 is the trigger wire that goes to your on/off switch. It carries a very small load and allows the smallest of switches without danger of hurting it. Pull a large load on a weak switch and it will fail. Not really an issue with most LED lights. Jim
Geez.....now that I got the lights working, how do you get them to stay in the position you want? I have got those things cranked down and they still move. Do I need to replace the Phillips head with a hex head to get more crank on them? I sure do like them!
I have a single model 60 mounted in the headlight shell on my KTM 500 EXC and it is more than adequate for street or dirt. You will not out run this light. Put two on only if you need to see into the next county.
Sweet, thanks for the info. Are you running a dimmer for the 60 on street? I'm considering doing a similar thing by replacing my stock halogen with an led. Sanjoh or anybody else, how would one 60 compare to a 30 & 44 combo as the sole light source for a dirtbike that is also run on street? Thanks in advance!
Yeah, I discussed various options with Sanjoh and on his advice ordered the single 60 led for my 500xcw. He doesnt make the mounting panels for the 500 anymore so I ordered the lexan sheet and hardware from him to make it myself. Have you got pictures of your install ? I'd be interested to see the position and angle that the 60 led was mounted in the 500 oem headlight mask.
Goofy Footer, Yes I am running the adjustable dimmer for the low beam and using the stock KTM headlight switch. Bill, I will try to post some pictures in the next few days as soon as I take them. I made up my own mount by modifying the stock headlight assembly. The end result is that it looks OEM.
Here is my KTM headlight modified for a Model 60 Light. It has a low beam with the dimmer control. This was a test prototype to see if it would work and how durable it would be. I used the stock mounting points and headlight aiming mount. It has survived 6 months of riding, racing and crashes. The pictures are worth a thousand words.... Finished product. Back side. Ground off mounting lugs and enlarged center hole. Light assembly. Light mount made from Delrin plastic. Snug fit on headlight ring to keep it in position and keep out water and dust. An alternative would be to use a flat aluminum or plastic plate. Mount details. It's over built for what it has to hold. Headlight Assembly.
BP Very well thought out and looks great. I like how the oem lens assembly provides protection for the LED, and aims/mounts it at the correct angle. I'd be interested in what Sanjoh thinks about the lack of airflow to the Led and any possible overheating problems in the long term. I do note however that you've been using it for 6 months like that. Thanks for the post/pics, explains the install very well

Hey Sanjoh, I ordered Model 30 when they were on sale with the heavy duty brackets. You were out of stock on the brackets and shipped the lights with regular brackets. Have you got the brackets back in stock... I tried to email you twice, PM you once ...gee even tried to call the number on your website... No replies on any front !!! Please let me know what is the ETA for the heavy duty brackets... whey would they be in mail?? Regards, SP
