Anyone out there using a GPS on the 650R? What is the good mount for it? I have tried the Ram mount for Montana & found it vibrated too much and dropped out under the occasional big throttle. Next I made my own mount out of a Nolathane sway bar bush for a Falcon. Even worse I reckon. When I run the unit on batteries it is perfect.

Is the Touratech mount worth a look? Fucken dear.

Good effort! Get it done & get the f&@k outta there. Only problem with that is ya say "why didn't we do it while we were living here?" Once gone soon forgotten and into the next stage.

Bikes lookin good Diggler. Be good to see the finished product with lights and map roller etc all set up. Suppose you are looking forward to that as well.

I like it Sean-O, needs some more sorting though.

Yeah its a nice place not far from home Ditchy. Good for a quick squirt, shame they have locked the gates and put horse rails in now. If ya got a cowboy hat and ride a pony its all good.

So it took my Pig around our local race track Barbagello on Sunday. What a blast with the motard setup.

I also took that stupid aluminium bash plate off. Now people don't stare at me while I'm idling at the lights. :)

Fairing screen thingo isnt for me Digga, but its easy to see you've done alot of work to get it that far. How long till she's all finished? Is it very crash-proof? What's the norm for these front ends - can you build in replaceable break points? Some sort of bracket or piece you could easily throw in if one was to biff it away.

What are the thoughts Doug? Is it any good or what? It can take alot of sorting to get them spot on. We should plan a good fast one or two day ride for Labour Day weekend, 7th oct. Mine needs a bit of sorting too.

Glenn, have you been down hassling Nick again?

I was talking to Nick awhile ago about the engine and the suspension,
as the fork sliders on my bike now have dents in them.
Nick mentioned he had a suspension off the GHR bikes he had laying around.
So Nick came up with a price that was just to good to refuse.

Just getting stuff in place for Condo next year,
    and maybe Safari.

dunno when it'll be finished mate, starting to get me down a bit. I just wanna ride it. it's all pretty replaceable mate, will get a mould and make a couple so when I tip it over, just rip the loose bits off and zip tie till I get home I spose.
I heard a rumour that there could be a fairly newly built xr for sale in the flea bay tomorrow night if it doesn't come good on a dyno run tomorrow. you might get that cheap second bike yet seano.
