10 hours away from home and just over 300Km of fantastic riding and great company.

A few weeks ago just over 20 Tigers and a couple Explorers (plus 2 stromtroopers and 1 lovely lady on a GS650, and a Katoom too) hit the dirt for a couple days, to, around and from the Woods Point area. We stayed at the McAdams Gap which is also (formerly?) known as Gap Getaway I believe. Thus the ride name. It was organised and led by Triumph Australia and was a great time. The collection of folks riding was superb, the split into two groups for advanced and beginner comfort zones really kept it fun for all. Thanks to Mark and all the folks at Triumph for the great time -- for "just" a weekend outing it was a ripper.

I intend to make a Day 2 video too, this is Day 1. Apologies in advance if you don't like the heavy metal -- it's instrumental at least -- I like it.

Due to operator error I missed a couple segments, one in the morning and one in the arvo, but it still is a decent watch.

The vid starts just up Frenchman's track off Big River Rd.... Good that I missed the first segment since I almost died in the first moments of the video lol...:eek1 (die of embarassment perhaps but I missed that bike-eating erosion by a C-hair)

Another video ride from your tank bag-sodomising Tiger tamer... This is a continuation of the Day 1 video I posted a while back, I'm slack but have a bit of time off so instead of spending it with the kids I'm dreaming about ADV riding...

A big thanks to Mark Berger and all the guys at Triumph Australia for setting this ride up and pulling it off so well. Also to the riders, including some submitted pics which are in there, and my trusty Drift HD which did all the action footage. The still below was a snapshot from the video, but for some reason VLC squished it a bit so its more 4:3ish than it's meant to be -- oh well, you get the idea!

So I finished the vids from that ride finally.

This is just a selection of helmet cams and silliness in which one guy lands 180 up the hill, I stall my bike twice at, and then in a river, and some poor unidentified soul gets off half way up a hill climb.

No chipmunks were harmed during the making of this video. Lance ended up with some scrapes to the "front leg" as I recall, though. Nothing a quick trip to the vet can't help.

I did a 380 km. GPS route as a practice for the 4 day APC rally in February. Yes I got lost, fell off and generally took too long,
This ride reporting takes time to stop and take photos and then learn how to post them the right way up and add text. I had a good day and I hope you enjoy the read. No kangaroos, wallabies, emus , lizards were injured during the making of this report, more by good luck than good management. I am not so sure about the snake I ran over though.
