Stopped at the old diner associated with this old tag (Rt. 33/34 traffic circle in the Wall area) today. The coffee is really good, and so are the corn muffins :D

Sounds good. If you guys need to stop for alcohol and whatnot, I would think it's a good idea to do it before getting into the city. Last year Rich and I checked our bags at the motorcycle show and it saved us time instead of trying to find (and walking to) a liquor store before departing for Rock's party.

So as any loving brother would...I like to jokingly question my brother's sexuality. :roflHe makes it pretty easy too...vegetarian, drives a miata, does yoga. :lol3

But now....NOW he's sealed the deal for me. I present to you my brother, Evan...as a model on the VESPA website. Scroll down to the "Vespa Style Book" and he's the guy in the grey.

    It's like fishing with dynamite...

On the upside...his buddy (and reason he's on the site) is a graphic designer for the Piaggio Group. He does all the print catalogs for Aprillia, Guzzi, Vespa....very cool stuff.

Told him I need to get into the Aprillia catalog.

Anybody got a shock preload adjuster tool for a 2012 Harley Streetbob? Or can I just use a rubber strap wrench?

I havent seen the bike in person yet but I know it has the multiple round holes on the bottom of the preload cam.

Ok, having been through the show, there are a lot of great bikes out there. It does seem that the show is getting smaller every year. But I have realized a few things about the new metal and myself. I still have a preference for late 90s to the early 2000's. I would fucking love to kick around on a new zx10R. I really like the new look of the Kawi line and the more bikes I ride, the more I feel like keeping with team green. The amount of power and performance available is staggering. I honestly do not have the skill to really ride these things to the degree I wish I could. The RC8R has been a desire since I saw the first concepts many years ago. But the only bike I would really put my hard earned down on would be the KTM 690 SE. Being a bit of a novice in the dirt, I would want a lighter bike. I know that something like a Tiger 800 would pretty much be all I would need except for really commited riding. But the price of new bikes could be several used bikes and the cash to customize.
Thoughts. In keeping with many of the cheaper options out there I would rather have the right tool for the job, rather than a swiss army knife.
    Thoughts?

Yes, with pretty much all of the current models. No 1190 though, which a couple of the orange guys said won't be coming in until 1/14 or so. As always, ymmv depending on who you speak to :lol3

Which means, unlike my modern 2012 DR, old unchanged KTM models with bold new graphics !

Modern? Did you find and use a time machine and are writing this from the early 70's? :lol3

Come on, don't be so dramatic. A modern DR is 1980's technology!

Yes, but air cooled, SOHC, single shock was "proven", hardly modern, in the 80's. In the 70's the technology would have been modern.
