Where and when is WetFest this year?

Edit: Found the thread. It's Sept 5th Skamokawa, WA. Just need to set up a Pony Express relay from the Central Rally.

Well, I only have one person stepping up to give it a ride, and he isn't traveling too far. I guess beggars can't be choosers. Last year we had inmates ride in from quite a distance.

I'll get you some info soon. We still have a solid 2 weeks to waffle.

not sure where else it needs to go, but lobster, Roy, or me could get it from BYOB to the Central rally.

From that point, once again depending on timing and such I MIGHT be able to run it to the west coast Labor day weekend.

The banner arrived safely in time for dinner at Rick's RDV. Next stop, BYOB.

Weather protection and reflective stickers added to the banner transport tube for the trip to BYOB.

The orange "7" is in honor of Robble. Robbie was well known to everyone at RDV. He and three of his crewmates passed away July 1, 2012 when their C130, MAFFS 7, crashed while fighting the White Draw fire in South Dakota. Inmates at BYOB last year collected money for the MAFFS 7 Memorial Maintenace Fund. Enough was raised to insure the upkeep of the memorial for quite some time.

I love the modifications the banner gets as it travels around. Really cool to have an evolving story book of the ADV rallies:deal

Waiting for HR to post photogenic evidence:norton

FYI, I will be constructing a better moar durable rally banner transport tube (or BMDRTT for short). One would think an item that travels this much with this much importance should have a container better than a duct tape wrapped cardboard tube.

If'n I could get some replacement stickers for it, I can decorate it accordingly before Central:deal
